Take a talented and dynamic mother and daughter duo, add in a business-savvy best friend, sprinkle with lots of flowers, and you've got a recipe for floral magic that is Secret of Flowers. Opened in 2007, Secret of Flowers is a modern European-style florist located in the trendy Port Richmond section of Philadelphia. Our clients include schools like St. Joseph's Prep and Temple University, religious and cultural institutions like the Kosciuszko Foundation and the Polish Heritage Society, and dozens of other organizations across Philadelphia, Montgomery, Delaware, and Bucks County.
Head of Floral Design
A native of Szczecin, Poland, Anna is a proud 7-time winner of the floral design division of the Philadelphia International Flower Show - the largest indoor flower show in the world. She is also the recipient of several competitive floral design prizes awarded by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society. Anna is an official florist of the Consulate of the Republic of Poland in New York, and is recommended by the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown, PA. She was educated in floristry at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA.
Christine is the main contact for all Secret of Flowers activities. Also educated in floristry at Longwood Gardens, Christine is an award-winning florist who specializes in teaching do-it-yourself (DIY) flower arranging. She is a member of the Society of American Florists and is the co-founder of It's By U, the DIY flower kit company.
Sourcing and Sustainability Program Manager
As graduate of Temple University with a B.A. in Environmental Studies, Paula ensures that all the flowers that SOF sources for our clients are sustainably and equitably grown. She travels the world and (and even explores local urban flower farms!) to track down the freshest and most eco-friendly plants available. Paula has experience in environmental engineering and she's engaged in extensive work in landscape planning and design for institutional clients.
